“ The food here is amazing! We came here for my son's birthday tonight and he is a vegetarian, even though the rest of our party of 7 is not. Let me tell you... everything, and I mean EVERYTHING we had was delicious! The chips and salsa, guac, tacos, enchiladas, flautas, and the margaritas were all great! Everything was fresh with excellent flavor. The only thing better than the food was the wonderful service provided by the 2 young ladies who were taking orders and delivering the food and drinks. We will for sure be back soon, if not for the al pastor tacos, at least for chips and margaritas! ”
“ Tacotarian was another woman-driven restaurant which had had a spot at Picnic in the Alley. I had liked what I had sampled so eventually went to the Arts District location for the full experience (really PitA has gotten a lot of mileage out of me. No regrets.) Food Chips and Salsa ($4.19): Shareable amount of crispy flavorful chips. The salsa, which was chunky yet also thin in consistency, had an understated peppery heat. Taco Al Pastor ($3.15): Dynamite. Nicely balanced between fruit cubes and shredded hearty "meat" in a double-walled soft shell, with a bit of zesty zip. Fish Taco ($4.75): Very good but I was not as enamored of this taco variant as I had been of the Al Pastor. Fish had good breading and flake texture but seemed a bit overwhelmed by the toppings so didn't get to stand out in flavor. Tacos were about four-five bite sized. Also, Mexican Coke ($4.99). 355ml bottle. Value: Relatively cheap eats, especially for the area, and a great option for vegetarians/vegans. Service: Perky. Atmosphere: Bright and relaxed. Cyan blue, black-and-white tile, masks, graffiti, logo'd apparel for sale, and a (probably temporary?) ofrenda which appeared to commemorate the favorite items of the honoree's lifestyle, to include ramen packets, Marlboros, and shelled peanuts. ”
“ Best tacos ever!! Margaritas on the rocks with actual fruit purée, no slushy BS from the strip. Reasonably priced, fresh ingredients, great service. Lana and Bernice were welcoming and ready to help, they made me feel like family. They were such sweet, genuine, beautiful people. No wonder this is a local favorite. After days of eating cheese pizza and other junk food, the only vegetarian options in the area, I found this little gem. I ordered six different tacos for myself… Every single one was absolutely delicious!! I promise I did not eat them all at once. I also picked up a piece of coconut cake for the road trip. Super moist, not too sweet. I plan on eating here every single time I’m in Vegas! Luckily, the girls let me know there’s one in San Diego as well. ”
“ We happened to visit on Taco Tuesday, and took it all in with all our senses. We dined on the barbacoa ( which in my opinion was outstanding) the chorizo, the dorado, the plaintain con mole, and the mushroom asada. All delicious followed by a friendly team who were kind and helpful. Finished with a slice of coconut cake... We left smiling and grateful. Everything on the menu is vegan Thank you for a wonderful dining experience ”
“ I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—they have really good taco options—some of the best vegan options I’ve had. The takis elote: delicious!! The space is cozy and inviting. The only thing I’d suggest is adding some Mexican music to the playlist—it would really enhance the vibe and complete the experience. I’ll definitely be coming back! ”
